Don’t forget to use your CME allowance before end of the year!
Dec 6th, 2009 | By admin | Category: UncategorizedIt is end of the year and your CME allowance for this year will expire soon. Medical residents and employed physicians usually get CME allowance which cannot be carried over to the next year. CME allowance ranges from $1000 to $10,000. If you don’t use it up, you will lose the money. You don’t know if you have it? Call your residency program coordinator or your office manager to find out. Or look it up in your employment or residency contract.
You may be able to use the CME allowance for books, clinical supplies, CME activities etc. depending upon your institutions’ policy. But it is too late for CME activities now. So the best thing to do is spend it for medical books on online medical bookstore such as BookstoreMD (www.BookstoreMD.com) and submit your request for reimbursement before the end of the year. CME allowance is the best of free medical stuff.
